Deletion

Since there appears to be a dispute over if this page should be deleted or not, I'm protecting it temporarily so that a discussion can be held. Each side should give valid and solid reasons why this page should/shouldn't be deleted. Remember to be civil at all times. Tali64^2 (talk) 11:44, 27 January 2023 (UTC)

To be honest, this wiki was bad from the start, many of the pages I've seen there were downright badly written and some of them had barely any content, and one page was even pure hypocrisy. this wiki is also poor in categories and templates, which makes this wiki bad at editing and keeping order, and when it comes to edit wars, even before this December when its only admin stopped being active at all and what SuperStreetKombat says, there was a whole the masses of edit wars and the community didn't even try to hide their toxicity by explicitly treating their opinions as facts, and at times I even saw some (while admittedly Zenko was innocent) literally wish death to her enemies. And since December last year, this wiki has become even worse than it was then for obvious reasons. One of our editors, whom I greet and consider a very kind person and constructive user, even stated that this wiki was created as a joke and that it is intentionally bad. As for SuperStreetKombat, almost all of its edits are nothing more than edit wars and opinions, which are mostly nothing more than complaining about something that has little if any impact on quality and also he is almost inactive on this wiki. Weirdyclopedia is bad in my opinion for the reasons stated on the page, and in my opinion, the only advantage of this wiki is the editing freedom, but even that seems questionable considering that it very, very often leads to edit wars and badly written pages. Also, I'd like to add that I have given a large amount of sources to back up my claims on this page I created pointing directly to the wiki itself, while SuperStreet gave absolutely no proof of its claims and its only excuse was that the wiki was "well received" for which he gave no proof and is apparently based on his own feelings. Does anybody know what happened to Salarvander?

I'm beginning to notice that he's been gone from Weirdcyclopedia for almost 3 months, and he hasn't been saying or doing anything on ShoutWiki since then. I know he's in college and stuff like that, but his administration really hasn't been as good as it used to be, because he just left without saying a word, and his wiki's been getting so much worse since there are no other admins there besides him, and I'm sorta wondering if he's actually just given up on Weirdcyclopedia and decided to just bail. SuperStreetKombat (talk) 2:32, 15 March 2023 (UTC)

He probably got bored with the wiki administration due to the wiki being shut down, or he knew that Qualitipedia users would show up there and make such a mess that he couldn't clean it up himself, so he gave up, or he's busy. These are my most likely scenarios, but otherwise it's not a Weirdyclopedia, it's a Tiresome Wikis Wiki, so that's where you should ask your question, not here, although no one wants to live in that mess that has been there almost since the beginning of that wiki. Szczypak 2005 18:31 , March 16 2023 (GMT+2)
Well, I kinda thought that I was starting to make too many topics on Weirdcyclopedia since most of the more recent ones there are by me and no one else, so I thought I'd let that wiki breathe and give this one a try. SuperStreetKombat (talk) 11:40, 16 March 2023 (UTC)

So....

Why is LeerdoMan74 so aggressive towards others? --BrownieTheAlien (talk) 16:59, 18 March 2023 (UTC)

Honestly... I don't know. Maybe he has some real-world stuff bothering him that've been making him so rude to others on the internet, but I don't wanna read too deep into that, since that isn't really any of our business.

All I know is that he's been acting this way for the longest time, heck, he's also been like this long before he came to ShoutWiki. Anybody remember back on Miraheze when he said stuff like "character flaws are bad" or "voice providing is correct, not voice acting" and would scream at anyone who corrected him, including AkihitoZero5454, and he also made several sockpuppets there to evade his bans there for a while? SuperStreetKombat (talk) 11:53, 18 March 2023 (UTC)

You know, that reminds me: I wonder if there should be a page about the Leerdoman74 controversy? There's also a page about the whole fiasco with Inkster, and Leerdo seems to be having an increasingly bad reputation amongst the ShoutWiki community, so I wonder if there should be a page about the controversy surrounding him. What happened with Weirdcyclopedia?

It now shows there's no wiki such as Weirdcyclopedia. Szczypak 2005 15:02, June 18 2023 (GMT+2)

  1. It closed down. GabrielPennington9864 14:17, June 18 2023
Huh, maybe that's a good thing because there won't be any more harassment. On the other hand, many sources have been lost, which will make it difficult to prove any claim. And so I think that this wiki was NEVER good, although it gave almost complete freedom and even anarchy for a few months. Szczypak 2005 16:39, June 18 2023 (GMT+2)
Convert the references to archive, but label dead if no archive found. GabrielPennington9864 14:53, June 18 2023
Ok, R.I.P Weirdcyclopedia (2020-2023). Szczypak 2005 17:09, June 18 2023 (GMT+2)
It was a horrible wiki as of today so it'd be a B.I.H for me. GabrielPennington9864 15:10, June 18 2023
You're right, be in hell, piece of shit called "wiki"! XD Szczypak 2005 17:12, June 18 2023 (GMT+2)

I might do a reboot of this wiki in the future

I know Weirdcyclopedia had a lot issues that caused its downfall and then closure after Salarvander left, but I'm actually considering creating a new version of the wiki, except that the administration will be more progressive than it was on the old wiki, and the quality control will be more maintained, as I could hire more admins or mods should this hypothetical reboot come to fruition.

Also, if I make a new version of Weirdcyclopedia, I'll do my absolute best to make sure that stricter messures will be taken against scumbags like Leerdoman74 or -abigblueworld-, if they ever return to ShoutWiki and descover this new version of the wiki. Heck, I could even find a way to stop spam bots from raiding it since those bots create off-topic articles, which was one of the things that killed the original version of Weirdcyclopedia.

However, if, under any circumstance, Salarvander does come back to ShoutWiki, discovers that Weirdcyclopedia is gone, and may want to find a way to reopen or at least recreate it, then I may put my plans to revive it on hold. I know Salar's return is rather unlikely considering the fact that he's been missing for 6 months, but hey, y'know, anything can happen. For now, I still stand by my plan to bring back Weirdcyclopedia and make it better than it originally was.

Let me know what you guys think of this, 'cause I'd like some feedback on my plans to bring back the wiki. SuperStreetKombat (talk) 2:19, 20 July 2023 (UTC)

Sometimes, it's better to set everything on fire and rebuild on the ashes; however, if you're wanting for the revival to be on ShoutWiki, you may have to wait a while for the wiki creator tool to be usable again, as it's been broken for years with no timeframe on when it'll be back up again or even a sign of it returning anytime soon. You could try another wiki farm such as Miraheze instead; however, if you choose Miraheze, you'll have to make Weirdcyclopedia something other than "a place to do whatever you want", as such a wiki is actually against Miraheze's Content Policy. I had to close down one of my wikis for this reason; I received a warning from a former Steward that the wiki was violating the Content Policy, so I took steps to bring it into compliance. Apparently these steps were not enough, because I received another warning some time later that the wiki was still violating the Content Policy, but instead of attempting to fix it again and risk having it be a duplicate of another wiki will stricter quality control, I decided to close it and start another wiki a month later, this time exclusively focusing on nonsensical humor to avoid Content Policy violations. Tali64^2 (talk) 22:52, 20 July 2023 (UTC)
Well, what I could do is that recreate Weirdcyclopedia, but on Miraheze instead of ShoutWiki, and if I revive the wiki on the former, I could reconstruct it in a similar style to Randomness Wiki, another wiki on Miraheze, where it also focuses on satire without violating content policy thanks to the relatively impressive quality control the admins there have been managing for some time now. However, if I make Weirdcyclopedia on Miraheze, I may have to avoid creating a page about Qualitipedia or any othet the pages about YouTubers or TikTokers that one user would make on Weirdcyclopedia during its lifespan, so that I could try to avoid violating the site's Content Policy and avoid facing the possibility of the wiki closing again. SuperStreetKombat (talk) 5:33, 20 July 2023 (UTC)

So street that was a good idea making a reboot in that wiki farm and not on ShoutWiki.Well a Big blueworld don't causing caos anymore

Well, knowing -abigblueworld-, there's really no telling when she comes back. If she ever goes to Weirdcyclopedia on Miraheze, then she'll get payback for everything she did on ShoutWiki. SuperStreetKombat (talk) 9:38, 14 February 2024 (UTC)
-abigblueworld- appears to have made a few accounts on Loathsome Characters Wiki recently; whether this counts as an official return is yet to be seen. Tali64^2 (talk) 18:36, 14 February 2024 (UTC)
And it looks like her sock accounts are getting blocked there too. Good. That should be karma for all the horrible things she did to Weirdcyclopedia and this wiki on ShoutWiki. SuperStreetKombat (talk) 11:46, 14 February 2024 (UTC)

A reboot of this wiki has been created

In case you haven't heard, I've just opened up a new version of Weirdcyclopedia on Miraheze after the old version was closed thanks to Leerdoman74, -abigblueworld-, and all those spam bots, and I'm looking to ensure that the admins there will do better at administrating the wiki than Salarvander did before it was originally closed on this site.

The wiki is still under construction, and I don't know how I can add a logo or change the color scheme there, and I want to hire enough users to become admins or mods there. There were pages that attacked the human beings you sound familiar?

Whao looks like the user reception wikis Uva 12:20, 14 February 2024 (UTC)

A user named MazKepler4 liked to make pages about YouTubers and Tiktokers in the style of a reception wiki, despite the founder saying that Weirdcyclopedia wasn't a reception wiki. No one really knows why Maz made those kinds of pages in the first place. SuperStreetKombat (talk) 9:36, 14 February 2024 (UTC) O_O Really SSK?!
