You know that the network can't be considered as a "good" wiki network if it treats popular opinions as facts
Type: Wiki network
Hosting service: Fandom (2013-2018)
Miraheze (2018-2022)
Telepedia (2022-present day)
Closing date: September 2018 (Fandom)
September 26, 2022 (Miraheze)

Qualitipedia (commonly known as the Miraheze Reception Wikis) is a former network of eight reception wikis now a single wiki that criticized or praised various forms of media. Despite the common name, they were actually created on FANDOM back in 2013, with the first wiki being Crappy Games Wiki. Afterward, other wikis were created, such as Awesome Games Wiki, Terrible TV Shows Wiki, Greatest Movies Wiki, and Awful Movies Wiki, before being forced to move to Miraheze in September 2018 after FANDOM shut them down due to policy changes. After moving to Miraheze, the network suffered from multiple controversies that permanently damaged it and Miraheze's reputation. Qualitipedia was eventually shut down on September 26, 2022, following a successful RfC;[1] afterwards, multiple revivals were created, most notably New Qualitipedia on an obscure wiki hosting service named Telepedia.[2]

Overall, due to toxicity and a declining userbase, Qualitipedia officially shut down on a sour note 9 years after its first inception on FANDOM.

Why It's Low Quality Nowadays

Overall

  1. One of the network's biggest problems is that its userbase treats opinions as facts since they think it's a bad thing because it means that their own opinions are superior than others even though that is not quite true, with Terrible Shows Wiki and the Crappy Games Wiki being the worst offenders of the issue.
  2. Since the original founder was a right-wing anti-SJW, most of its users were anti-SJWs who treated SJWs and anti-GamerGate supporters as outright criminals and bad people which is not true. This was one of the main reasons why Rotten Websites Wiki was deeply despised; the wiki was nothing but a political mess, as it constantly bashed everything that's "SJW" or left-leaning or communist.
    • It's not hard to get brainwashed from their Anti-SJW belief and lies, as they can convince an average user to become an anti-SJW or pro-Gamergate thanks to their pages.
  3. The network community is just awful and horrible, with a lot of users acting very immature, spiteful, sciovinist, arrogant and toxic. The worst offenders had to be the staff, who kept abusing their power and making poor and questionable decisions, most of which results in a lot of dramas.
    • They tend to be massive hypocrites, as they're simply reminding the userbase to follow Miraheze's rules, but yet they have also constantly violated Miraheze's policies, such as harassing people with a different opinion, and the staff and the stewards of the Miraheze wikis did absolutely nothing to stop them. This problem would eventually be carried over and repeated in the Telepedia revival of the wiki but with Telepedia's respective policies.
  4. Although some pages were well-written (mostly the featured articles, but there were some without the featured template), most of the pages were extremely poorly-written (especially on Terrible Shows & Episodes Wiki), with very short/vague pointers,[3][4] overusage of text markup, etc.
    • Even if they were well-written, some of the pages were laughably bad and crudely written , especially the ones made during The Outcast Network era.
  5. Most of their wikis are a huge complain to toxic nitpicks, especially when criticizing something that they document. The worst offenders are the Terrible Shows & Episodes Wiki and especially the Crappy Games Wiki, as both of them have various poorly written pages as well as copious amounts of drama and unnecessary pointers.
    • It doesen't help that this problem has also been carried to the positive perspective wikis as well, at least to a lesser degree.
      • Pages like the Pokèmon page on the Best Shows & Episodes Wiki are one of the worst offenders, with the Bad Qualities pointers being written to look like they are accusing the show of cancel culture even though these pointers are unrelated to the page. It's even worse on the Fresh Websites Wiki, with the wiki accusing good websites for controversy and censorship in the worst and most annoying ways possible.
    • On that topic, because of how nitpicky these pages are, some pages even come close to being attack articles, even though that's not what they're supposed to be.
  6. Despite the wikis trying to be reliable, they often make claims with no proof or source whatsoever, and while some can be simply ignored, others have major claims that don't provide any citations whatsoever. For example, the "Funimation (2019-present)" page claimed that Nathan Sharp, a.k.a NateWantstoBattle, cheated on Cristina Vee during their engagement with no source provided;[5] one user tried to search for evidence that Nathan cheated and the only "proof" he could find was a discussion on lolcow.farm in which people mixed the allegations up with the false ProJared allegations, and showed a thread that doesn't prove anything.[6]
    • The wikis would occasionally defend media that's typically mediocre-at-best. For example, the Best Shows & Episodes Wiki defended Barney & Friends, Hannah Montana, other Disney Channel sitcoms, Dora the Explorer, Oggy and the Cockroaches: Next Generation, Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years, The Garfield Movie, and the later seasons of Sesame Street. This is despite the former three having mixed-to-negative reviews—and also despite the fact that Hannah Montana has a 5.3 on IMDb while Dora the Explorer has a 4.3—going so far as to revert edits that list HM as "a bad show" on the Disney Channel[7] and It's A Laugh Productions, Inc.[8] pages. The Barney & Friends page was also deleted as soon as it put on Terrible TV Shows Wiki for "being a biased hate page", despite the show having a lot of negative reviews as well and despite the accuracy of the "Reception" header, which just makes these changes hypocritical.
    • This also not only contradicts, but also nullifies the whole point of what Qualitipedia is saying, because the wikis are supposed to be written in the same exact point of view as the public's, whether or not the reception goes back and forth over time. The wikis are basically supposed to shun these shows based on what their reception says, but they instead just defend them anyways, even if they do see them as "bias".
  7. They always give others false accusations and have no evidence to back them up whatsoever.
  8. Many terms used across various Reception Wikis are either misused and/or overused. Including but not limited to the following:
    • "Unlikable/Likable" characters - Where they assume that mean, antagonistic, or evil characters are unlikable, automatically making it a bad quality; and nice characters are "likable", automatically making it a good quality; even though not every character are like this. Believe it or not, there are some characters that have been positively-received for how unlikable they are and vice versa because this is intended to be part of their personality. What matters is the execution, and if the execution is poor will it only determine the quality of a character.
      • For example, the Battle For Dream Island page[9] lists Four as one of the unlikable characters, even though being depicted as a menace is the whole point of his character. Not to mention, he's positively received by the fanbase because of that and his humorous moments, which is why TV Tropes considers him to be under the "Love to Hate" trope[10]. On the other hand, they say his redemption in the BFB 30 episode "Chapter Complete" as likable, even though fans of the series such as A Person on Youtube pointed out how pointless this is due to the fact that this was quickly retconned in later episodes of the series.[11][12]
    • "Mary Sue/Marty Sue/Gary Stu" - Unfortunately abused by a lot of characters deemed to be simply "unlikable", even when they have enough flaws to not count as one. The real definition of a "Mary Sue" is a character that is seen as perfect in various ways, leaving little to no flaws.
    • "Karma Houdini" - If karma stands for actions having consequences, then karma Houdini is to get away from facing consequences of their actions.
    • "Hypocrisy" - Sometimes gets mixed up with "Irony". Being hypocritical means the act of having beliefs that one does not possess. On the other hand, irony defies contradictory outcomes between what is expected and what actually occurs. Sadly, this wiki is not safe from misusing this as well.
    • "Flanderization" - Often times used in negative quality pointers, which occasionally gets mixed up with the term "Character assassination" (or "character derailment") which is all about a sudden change of characterization without any proper reasoning. As a reminder, the real definition of "flanderization" is to exaggerate a character's traits to amped degrees as time goes on. That said, flanderization isn't always a bad thing.
    • "Butt-Monkey/Punching-Bag" - Mainly included as a bad quality pointer of either a character or the media they're in, even though being treated as such isn't the fault of the character itself. It's more of the fault of other characters/factors. Going by their logic, it can be interpreted as characters such as Squidward Tentacles and Meg Griffin are unlikable because they get tortured a lot.
    • "Mean-spirited" - Related to the "Unlikable/Likable Characters" above, most of them assume that having something "mean-spirited" in a piece of media is automatically a bad thing. To be fair, yes, it can be when executed poorly, but for the context of storytelling, this can be done right if executed properly and have a legitimate reason to. Every piece of media has their share of dark and disturbing moments from time-to-time, even lighthearted ones, just to balance out all the positivity. Therefore, they don't need to be all cute, happy, sunshine and rainbows all the time.
    • "Depending on your view" (and their variations such as "your milage may vary", "depending on your point of view", "depending on your opinion", etc.) - Used whenever there's a pointer discussing something that's either divisive or opinions varying between other people. Mainly those focusing on humorous, tearjerking, heartwarming, disturbing, as well as other emotional moments in a piece of media. The problem is that this not one of the most overused terms in these wikis, but this is very redundant considering that Qualitipedia is already written in a subjective point of view (to be specific, based on popular opinion).
    • "X started/ended on a good/bad/decent/high/sour note" - Mainly used to repetitive degrees on TV show-related articles that mention every season starters and enders listed on episodes.
    • "Cringe/cringy/cringeworthy/cringe-inducing" - Used as a typical "bad quality" pointer. Simply calling something "cringe" without further elaboration doesn't really provide constructive criticism.
    • "False advertising" - Unfortunately subjected to nitpicking such as how a character is designed, or what props are present in the promo materials. False advertising should only applicable to the promos heavily promoting something (a character, or a scene taken out of context) that is underutilized in the actual work.
      • If it's a gimmick like a person, place, or thing that appears in the promotion but not in the actual product itself, that's one thing, but if it is something like a gimmick that appears but gets limited attention, then that doesn't really count.
    • "Misleading Title" - Similar reasoning to "false advertising". Just because a title does not match the actual premise of a media, or that it makes references to pop-culture does not automatically mean that its misleading, nor that it's assumed to be a bad thing. The Rick and Morty page is an example of this (see bad quality no.6 of that article for context).[13]
    • "Plot hole" - Perhaps the most misused and abused terms in these wikis. In reality, a "plot hole" is supposed to point out major inconsistencies in a story line. Most of the time, the term "plot hole" would be misused for nitpicking purposes including but not limited to the following:
      • Animation errors - Sometimes known as "goofs" in some wikis. Not all animation is perfect as it is a difficult and timely process to execute one. As much, seeing these in any animated works is inevitable. Though the main point is that most of the time, they aren't really a big deal as these are too small to notice to the average viewers' eye and don't necessarily affect the quality of the media as much as other faults such as story, premise, characters, or execution. Which is why these terms come off as nitpicky for the most part.
      • Using it on media that aren't serialized or rely on negative continuity - Self-explanatory. An example of this would be SpongeBob SquarePants and Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies.
      • Fictional logic defying real-life logic - The most notable offenders of this term being misused for taking fiction into serious degrees. Mainly used on show and episode-related articles. Let's say for instance, a character stays afloat in the air unless they look down, or that fire can work underwater; yet these are labled as "plot holes" for some reason when that's not what it actually means. They don't seem to realize that having fiction use real-world logic all the time wouldn't really make an interesting piece of work as realism can have their limits. Which is why going beyond, exaggerating and breaking the rules of real-world logic allows more creative expression. It should be noted however that just because its fiction doesn't mean that its immune to criticism. But that also doesn't mean that people should focus on trivial or minor details only. Taking into account to what Smosh's "If [Blank] Was Real" series of videos say, they generally point out in a satirical manner that "Imagining something in fiction be realistic in real-life is stupid".
        • Trashy Vyond Videos Wiki is not safe from this as well. They are prone to misusing the term, plot hole, a lot. As a vast majority of their pages dismisses the nitpicking of fictional moments defying real-life logic as "using "GoAnimate/Vyond logic" as an excuse". While the "GoAnimate logic" trope on the videos themselves can get abused after a while, it still does not change the fact that they are complaining about trivial or minor details of a video when they could focus on other glaring aspects of the video (i.e., the production quality, the nonsensical plot, etc.)
    • They also lists Episodes as TV shows, medias and programs as a category. Which are not ment to be.
  9. Qualitipedia's issues and hate were so prevalently bad that it severely damaged Miraheze's reputation. To the point where outsiders who aren't familiar with the Miraheze wiki farm often associate them with Reception Wikis as the only wikis they host.
    • The reboot wiki, known as New Qualitipedia, is no better, since the wiki would only carry the same issues from Miraheze had on to Telepedia, as even the founder of said wiki farm, Original Authority, is aware of NQP ruining Telepedia's reputation just like what the old wikis did to Miraheze. Because of that, it has got to the point where he even warned them that he would close down the wiki if they continue to cause more problems on the platform.[14]

The Outcast Network era (2019-2020)

  1. After Qualitipedia's move to Miraheze, The Outcast Network took over its management; they are largely considered to be one of the worst groups in Qualitipedia's history, as they have a long history of causing drama (especially Mar9122, a former member of the Outcast Network), handling their wikis (Atrocious YouTubers Wiki, Horrible Vyonders Wiki, etc.), and not only contributing to the decline of Qualitipedia, but also giving Miraheze an even worse reputation than it did before(This made the Wikifarm a laughing stock) .
    • The group has proven to be irresponsible, as one of the worst cases of doxxing happened during their handling of Qualitipedia. In March 2019, a user named Zenko (now called Vos) joined the wikis and despite her stubbornness, many users went too far against her. Even Se admitted he was no better and the others went too far against her. For example, a page about Zenko mocking her in the same vein as Encyclopedia Dramatica was made on Fun Shitposting Wiki, which she vandalized because it contained her personal info. In other words, they doxxed her by revealing which city she lived in just for the sake of being "satirical". Despite this, Zenko was later added to the Unfavorable Wikis and Users Wiki; in 2022, SuperStreetKombat mentioned that there were rumors that she committed suicide, which were thankfully untrue.
  2. They once featured a small YouTuber on Atrocious YouTubers Wiki just because they made a poorly-written page of another bad small YouTuber on Amazing YouTubers Wiki (though it was later unfeatured).[15]
  3. Some pages, although well-written, were downright awful, poorly written or/and just mediocre, not only because they lack sources, but the claims are also unsubstantiated. Some of the claims in said pages are even false. Examples include:
    • Atrocious YouTubers Wiki:
      • OGGY[16] (was added there because of clickbait thumbnails despite being the most reliable way to watch full episodes of Oggy and the Cockroaches... and the page unironically contradicts itself by even admitting that via a redeeming quality)
      • ElectricDragon505 (AniMat) (2016-Present); imported on Rotten Websites Wiki titled Mat Brunet (2016-present)[17]
      • Vailskibum94 (imported on Terrible TV Shows Wiki)
      • IULITMx; imported on Crappy Games Wiki)[18]
      • Zone toons

Post-Outcast Network era (2020-2021)

  1. Despite the closure of The Outcast Network's wikis and their ban, most of the users still imported the pages to other wikis. This was more evident in Rotten Websites Wiki, as a lot of pages from wikis like Atrocious YouTubers Wiki were imported, with very little changes.
    • While this doesn't seem bad at first glance, it ended up contributing to even more drama then before.
  2. The infamous Celebtards[19][20] and Celebsmarts[21] pages. A lot of the reasons are often nitpicking on general mistakes and they give false information; however, there is some true information, such as the child pornography scandal from Nobuhiro Watsuki.
  3. During this era, the wikis were rebranded into one network called Qualitipedia, and revealed that it would aim to be more serious rather than something for fun. This alone caused many people like Portrock1566 to leave the network for good, as they felt that it lost its charm.
    • This problem got even worse in the New Qualitipedia, as a lot of these glaring flaws started getting lots of attention, causing even more drama.
    • To officially form the rebrand, Allistayrian (formerly known as Zeephare), a former admin of the network, decided to do what was called the Great Purge, essentially deleting every existing page on Qualitipedia. This received universal backlash and many people retired.
  4. The Pokémon Sword and Shield page on CGW was the most hated of all the pages, because the wiki itself couldn't decide on its reception, being moved-warred to to the positive and negative wikis.

Allistayrian era (2020-2022)

  1. Allistayrian was an overall strict admin with insanely high standards who would delete every page she would consider poorly-written even if said pages are actually decent, especially from January to April 2021. After returning to Qualitipedia in June 2021, however, she improved and undeleted most of the decent pages.

DuchessTheSponge era (2021)

  1. Ever since DuchessTheSponge became the new owner of Qualitipedia, he attempted to improve the network in various ways, all of which failed miserably for numerous reasons:
    • He caused some infamous opinion wars, a good example being the Spongebob page on TTS&EW.[22]
    • During this era on Qualitipedia, he made a few false accusations of some users such as Crappy Games Wiki founder of being a pedophile after creating an NSFW blog about hentai, which resulted in his retirement, and he also banned SuperStreetKombat from SephSpace for supposedly "defending the no custom heading rule", restoring the YouTube page on Rotten Websites, and removing Nintendo from Crappy Games Wiki's forbidden list, which also resulted in SSK leaving Miraheze for a while until he came back two weeks later.
    • He was also responsible for custom headers that added absolutely nothing to the pages and only caused drama and edit wars, which caused them to be banned many times, although for some reason their ban was revoked.
    • The most infamous case was the unexpected shutdown of the Websites Wikis in June 2021; it was discovered that DuchessTheSponge was behind the shutdown, and he was demoted as a result.
      • Speaking of the Websites Wikis, he also deleted the YouTube page on Rotten Websites Wiki and prohibited it from ever being recreated simply because the website is "liked by a lot".
    • These ways also became pointless once two new bureaucrats arrived, as they gave better ways to improve Qualitipedia despite still failing.
  2. The logos of the wikis that are made were laughably rough, ugly and bad, as it's just some text lazily slapped on the bottom of clip arts found on Google, which is unprofessional.
  3. He was one of the biggest responsible for shutting down Qualitipedia due to his disastrous administration; after he wrongly accused Grust of pedophilia and SuperStreetKombat of the things listed above, no one even wanted him to be part of the staff anymore.

The Final Months (2022)

  1. Ever since Allistayrian retired, a lot of drama happened that severely damaged and killed Qualitipedia.
  2. Certain admins had secretly attempted to kill Qualitipedia, with no new idea of improvement and barely any support like asking the stewards for shut down the network.[citation needed]
  3. In August 2022, in the Qualitipedia Discord server, a bot created by Bukkit, a former admin of the network, ghostpinged everyone in the server, causing them to spam nonsense in the chat. As a result, DeerGazer (then known as TigerBlazer[citation needed]), another former admin of the network, snapped and then left the Discord server and announced to retire for good, even though they already retired in April (before making a full retirement blog when the RfC to close Qualitipedia was open). After that happened, many people retired, which not only saddened many people but also led to damage control without the help of many useful admins.
  4. In early September of 2022, Bukkit and Marxo Grouch demoted SuperStreetKombat for promoting a few users to moderators with "no consensus", despite there actually being one, which was unfair considering that they could've warned him to stop instead of discussing his demotion in a private Discord server beforehand.
  5. In October 2022, after Qualitipedia's closure and after Stewards rejected the creation of newer reception wikis, Nidoking created an RfC that proposed an indefinite ban on the creation of new reception wikis. It ended up passing, so this prevents the creation of a reboot on Miraheze and seals Qualitipedia's fate as dead.[23]

The New Reception Wiki (2022 revival)

  1. Some of the rules were very questionable. The forbidden pages heading says that the pages from Qualitipedia shouldn't be copy-pasted, but rather, imported with all revisions, which doesn't make sense because people barely use revisions, and Wayback Machine also exists, which makes them even more pointless.
    • Hypocrisy: FatBurn/Money was concerned that copying pages from these wikis would result in a loss of history, despite the fact that he himself has added a delete template to pages on a number of occasions because he wants to redo the pages, and simply deleting a page will obviously lose the history.
  2. The wiki was laughably closed a few days after it was announced that it would have been a successor to Qualitipedia, which makes sense, since the wiki violated the Content Policy in the first day.
    • The most laughable yet insulting thing at the same time, FatBurn/Money said that because forks are not allowed, he asked regular users to delete the pages,[24] which not only doesn't make sense, since regular users don't have the ability to do that, but it also shows that he refuses to take any responsibility for that.
  3. Szczypak2005 was an incompetent admin as he blocked TigerBlazer just for criticizing this wiki. Thankfully, Tiger was eventually unblocked by another admin.

New Qualitipedia (Mid-November 2023-present)

  1. This reboot is just as bad as the original Qualitipedia since it only carries a lot of the same problems the older wikis had, but this time to an even worse degree.
  2. A lot of users reported to be wrongfully banned indefinitely due to the Abuse filter being poorly implemented. Thankfully, Original Authority, the owner of Telepedia, fixed a bit the filter and unbanned those who were unfairly banned.
  3. On this wiki, there was an infamous rule where copy-pasting pages from the old wiki (after its implementation on March 2023) is strictly forbidden, even if you created the page yourself. And while there were a lot of biased pages, there were also a lot of good ones that almost everyone would agree with. Thankfully, they did eventually remove that rule after the new moderation team were appointed due to the backlash it received from their userbase.
    • In fact (and possibly), it was user Roger and the return of Raidarr, a former administrator of the old Qualitipedia, who pushed the decision to remove this rule that prevented copy-and-paste thanks to Roger's complaints and insistence, explaining several reasons why this rule is unfair.
    • In addition, it caused quite a stir because they continued to copy pages from there for a while, and if that wasn't enough, they even go far as to ban users for doing so, like what happened to one user just because he did so even though he did not attack anyone or any page on this wiki.
  4. Because of the horrible amounts of drama and edit wars on the wiki, admins can take a long time to respond to trolls, which resulted in some admins having to be quickly promoted (such as Raidarr) in order to keep the wiki intact due to a troll raid.
  5. Custom headers tend to get rigged and boring a lot and arbitrarily added to average/decent pages as well as "Bad Qualities" and "Redeeming Qualities" sections in normal pages, with the worst offenders being the Transformers pages due to the frequent use of "Autobot Qualities" and "Decepticon Qualities".
    • This also led to drama as well as edit wars between users and even staff.
  6. The Mature template (and sometimes the NSFL template) often gets added to pages that don't even need it such as a few Teen Titans Go and Ed, Edd, n' Eddy pages.
    • On top of that, there was even a "Caution" template, which is very pointless because served the exact same purpose as the "Mature" version before the former template was eventually deleted.
  7. An email address is now required to edit any page after December 2023, even though the wiki was originally free for registered users to edit without the need of adding their email addresses to their profiles.
  8. Despite having a page about sources that are/aren't reliable, a myriad of pages have videos and references of sources (most notably Mr. Enter or IGN) that are on the page's blacklist, which pretty much contradicts what it says about who should or shouldn't be considered reliable when documenting the reception of a game, movie, show, etc., and thus contributes to how poorly written these pages are.
  9. Recently, there's been a trend on the wiki where nearly any page with disturbing content in it, such as Elsagate, is starting to get all of their redeeming qualities removed and banned from their pages, regardless of whether the work is marked just for containing something minor like malware, or if it's a work that's not intentionally geared towards an older demographic. While it's important to criticize this type of stuff, it doesn't always justify banning redeeming pointers overall, and it makes the wiki seem overly sensitive. Not to mention, despite some of the moderators and administrators undoing these edits, various users would just redo the edits, even though it's pointless.
    • A user by the name of Rainbow Puppy even proposed banning redeeming qualities from works created by AI, even though it's not even inappropriate in any way. Sure, AI has started to become controversial these days, but even then, that doesn't really count as an excuse on banning redeeming qualities. Later, a separate article was created about generative AI being in place of artists, which had been forbidden from good qualities since it has reportedly threatened jobs of people.
    • They even went as far as to ban redeeming qualities on historical artifacts like World War II propaganda just because of their actions being inexcusable. While it is true people from various cultures can get dehumanized during World War II, they are historical artifacts that are product of the time that deserve preservation, and those themes had been accepted at that time, so going as far as to ban redeeming qualities on them makes the user base look worse because it makes them feel like that they want this type of media destroyed and never be seen again, in spite of them being a useful study of what World War II was like, although they aren't for the general public to see nowadays.
    • They've also continued to ban media like The Loud House Movie and the last two Star Wars movies just for being "too divisive" although these same pages already exist on living wikis like the Okay Movies Wiki in which these pages have barely caused any drama from there.
  10. They've been banning redeeming qualities from games like 155,000 Games specifically just for containing malware while also leaving out Steam Greenlight and others despite them containg malware as well.
  11. Some bad or average pages, such as:
    • Pokémon (especially since one of the Bad Qualities pointers contains toxic nitpicks accusing the show of cancel culture even though that's the case)
    • Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years[25] (It is even treated as a positive page despite receiving negative reviews, especially on IMDb.)
    • The Buzz on Maggie[26]
    • Oddballs[27]
    • The Garfield Movie[28]
    • Tom and Jerry (2021)
    • Oggy and the Cockroaches: Next Generation[29] (it can be confirmed to be made by a person who defends it but the reception of this show is mixed to negative just like Oggy Oggy. It even has a 5.8 on IMDb.)
    • The Last of Us: Part II
    • EA Sports FC 24 and 25
    • Five Nights at Freddy's (film)
    • Pokémon Sword and Shield (as always it is in bad media)
    • Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz[30]
    • Lu and the Bally Bunch[31] (The score on IMDb being 8.1 not only contradicts the page's perspective, but shows no evidence of it being mediocre or negatively-received by audiences)
    • Pokémon brilliant Diamond and shining Pearl
    • Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
    • The Angry Birds Movie
  12. They tend to look at situations at face value and just simply assume things unfold the way they look rather than see the bigger picture and actually look deeper into why certain events occur such as when MisterSandManAU edit warred over the personal bias in pages and other users just assumed that it was done because of SuperStreetKombat's "fuss over custom headings" when he actually reverted MSMAU's edits to make some headings more proper.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. It used to be good back when it was on FANDOM and during its first months on Miraheze in 2018.
  2. There were some pages that were well-written or that a lot of people can agree with (despite some of them being deleted or poorly written as many of these articles listed below are even on the New Qualitipedia), such as:
    • Terrible Shows & Episodes Wiki:
      • Antoons[32]
      • Coconut Fred's Fruit Salad Island.
      • The Wacky World of Tex Avery[33]
      • Eiken[34]
      • The Loud House (season 4-present)[35]
      • Family Guy (season 8-present)[36]
      • Teen Titans Go![37]
      • Oggy and the Cockroaches (seasons 5-6)
      • SpongeBob SquarePants (seasons 6-8)
      • Sonic Underground
      • The Thundermans
      • Heil Honey
      • ThunderCats Roar
      • The Powerpuff Girls (2016)
      • Ben 10 (2016)
      • Squirrel and Hedgehog[38]
      • 13 Reasons Why[39]

  3. While the community is incredibly toxic, as mentioned in WISN#4, there are also a lot of good users here, even if they did make some controversial decisions, although most of them either retired, became inactive, were about to leave the site.
  4. At least some of the biased pages were thankfully removed in late 2021 and 2022, especially on Crappy Games Wiki.
  5. They were in full support of Vic Mignogna in his innocence after he was falsely accused of sexual misconduct by the voice actors at Funimation, and most of the QP users were pro-IStandWithVic.
    • And speaking of Vic's innocence, Qualitipedia also were in full support of Michael Jackson's innocence regarding his pedophilia controversy and are against Leaving Neverland.
  6. Despite its flaws and overall community, New Qualitipedia (the current version of Qualitipedia) is an improvement over the original wikis (even if it's not much better), especially considering they have more centrist-based views and the usage of more constructive terms.
    • It also has some good pages that aren't imported from the old wikis and many people can find helpful (despite some old imported pages being good as listed above) such as the Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie page.
  7. They at least made SuperStreetKombat a moderator after arbitrarily demoting him.
  8. They still have good explanations on why media are good or bad[98][99].

Reception

The Qualitipedia wikis were criticized for the same reasons, including treating popular opinion as fact and the lack of qualifications for whether a product is "good" or "bad";[100][101][102] despite this, there are some users who were upset when it was shut down but understood why the shutdown happened.[103]
